Our Team

Dr. Chen is a board-certified interventional radiologist with a special interest in interventional oncology and minimal-invasive procedures. He graduated from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1999 and completed his diagnostic radiology residency and interventional radiology fellowship at LAC-USC (Los Angeles County-University of Southern California) in 2005, where he also served as Chief Resident. He practiced at Evergreen Hospital Medical Center in Kirkland and Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Washington before moving to Phoenix in 2010.

Dr. Chen is the Chief of Interventional Radiology at Banner University Medical Center-Phoenix and a Clinical Assistant Professor at University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix. In addition to teaching students and residents, he is also a consultant to medical industries in educating physicians on Y90 radioembolization procedures and radial access interventions. He has presented live-cases for the Center of Excellence for radioembolization therapies and proctored the first such case performed in China in 2021.

He is on the Medical Advisory Committee for the American Liver Foundation and a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology and Western Angiographic and Interventional Society.  He has been named one of Phoenix Magazine’s Top Docs.

Dr. Chen enjoys golfing, basketball, hiking, and traveling.  He and his family have enjoyed visiting close to 20 countries so far and hope to continue to expand his cultural immersion.
