Our Team

Dr. Goettl is a board-certified interventional radiologist who performs a wide variety of minimally invasive image-guided procedures. He specializes in treating liver cancer, musculoskeletal pain, and complex vascular diseases using image-guided techniques.

After graduating from Notre Dame with a bachelor's in pre-medical studies and a Master's in Business Administration, Dr. Goettl worked as a management consultant with McKinsey and Company before attending medical school. He graduated from the University of Arizona College of Medicine’s Phoenix campus in 2012. He completed his radiology residency at the University of Illinois Chicago, where he served as chief resident.  He completed his fellowship training in Interventional Radiology at Stanford University in 2018

Since 2018, Dr. Goettl has worked as an interventional radiologist in Arizona, and serves as an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Phoenix. In addition to teaching students and residents in the hospital, Dr. Goettl serves as Director of the Interventional Procedural Simulation Program at the College of Medicine’s Center for Simulation and Innovation, where he trained medical students on a procedural simulation platform. He currently serves as CEO of Vascular and Interventional Partners.

Dr. Goettl is an active member of the Society of Interventional Radiology, the Outpatient Endovascular and Interventional Society, the Radiological Society of North America, and the American Medical Association.  In his spare time, he enjoys golf, basketball, the outdoors, and spending time with his wife and children.
